I've tried l-theanine (just one 200mgv tablet into my morning coffee) for two days and I'm happy to say that I am starting to feel like a happy, chill, "NORMAL person"! Rather than my usual cranky, mildly paranoid, dysthyemic, cptsd usual self, (even with coffee). It's true it helps make your unhappy thoughts hurt less? Like mentally hurt less, and then you can get away from a downward thoughts spiral more easily.
Edit: it's been a while but I'm still enjoying using l theanine. I don't use it every day so I'm not dependent on it, but it really helps when I know a certain day, l(ike working retail Saturdays, )will likely be stressful. Tried 400 mg once with no coffee, and I wouldn't recommend it if you're a lightweight like me. It just made me a bit sleepy and almost lightheaded.

I took my first dose of L-theanine in capsule form with 200mg. I didn't like the caffeine and l-theanine dose because It somehow made me tired and not able to do my math homework the way I wanted to. Although I didn't like the concentration aspect of it, I had amazing sleep and my memory of the same math homework from last night is great today! I think it works for me but, I'm gonna attempt to take it closer to the evening without caffeine and use it for relaxation purposes. What doses do you think is good to start out with?
I also wanna add that the feelings you described having on it is how I felt on phenibut. It felt amazing that night then the next few days would leave me anxious and agitated. I am careful when dosing with phenibut and only took it about once every few weeks but did not like the side effects, if L-theanine helps I'll probably just stick to that.

This just made me want to help my mom cook this chicken dinner. So I guess it works! My mom and I enjoyed the chicken that we cooked and ate.

Can this be more placebo? Really, what is the level of incremental focus when taking the stack vs not taking it? Naturally when we're taking a supplement for a specific reason you are conscious about what you're expecting it to do. Therefore we're much more receptive to its suggestion. So can the suggestion of its affect be part of feeling like it's working when you're taking it vs. not taking it?

LMAO! At 0:50 in the video, he claims that, "...there are still many things that are EQUALLY quite good..." (to NZT-48 from the movie Limitless)! No. There is NOTHING on this planet that is "equally quite good" as NZT-48 in the movie. I have tried Noopept, Modafinil, Piracetam/AlphaGPC, Piratall, L-Theanine, et cetera. Sorry bud, but this make you sound spammy, scammy and like you're just telling people what they want to hear so you can sell them a product through your affiliate link or ecommerce store.

I have watched other nootropic videos. I like that you gave ratios. I am not so into just the nootropic effect. I started l theanine for my blood pressure which went from 186/112 to 135/86. Which made my decision to take it. I drink 2 Bubba cups of black coffee a day and take 4 200 mg l theanine a day. I am a working wife in the Midwest and I rarely have time for more than 4 hours of sleep a night and that's why the 2 Bubba cups of black coffee. I have raised 2 daughters and have 2 granddaughters and have been doing the black coffee for 45 years. Now I need to figure out a really good ratio. I think l theanine is awesome and I don't want to take those prescription poisons for my blood pressure.

Your irritability could be your L-Theanine CRASH. Many people have calming effects for a few hours, and THEN afterwards they get more irritable, than baseline.

Do you think l-theanine would work well with Adderall? I get extreme benefits off Adderall but sometimes it's a bit much. Do you think it might comment down a bit but still help me Focus?

Would i benefit the same from Theanine + Yerba Mate combo? i dont really like coffee but i really enjoy Yerba. Unfortunately even tho its some sort of tea it doesnt contrain theanine. Will benefits will be the same?
