NASA astronauts on Boeing’s Starliner found out on Wednesday they may be stranded in space for much longer than expected.

Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have been stuck in the International Space Station (ISS) for over two months and may not return home until February 2025.

This Tuesday marked 60 days both astronauts were stranded in the ISS.

The initial trip into space was only supposed to be eight days, but thruster failures and helium leaks prevented their return home.

Due to the aircraft’s issues, the two astronauts have been in orbit over fears any attempt to return them home will result in a disaster.

Boeing about to have to tie up some more loose ends.
We will hear that those 2 astronauts died of food poisoning or some crazy accident on the ISS.

Remember, diversity is their strength! Competence is a small price to pay when DEI is prioritized!.

Oh yeah we're going to Mars in 2 years they can't get people down out of orbit are you kidding me talk about a suicide mission my poor country

Keep in mind, spaceX had 100% success at a cheaper rate during testing. The fact that NASA hasn't turned to SpaceX already is alarming... almost like they don't want to admit their failure no matter who's lives are involved...

We are Hearing almost nothing about this story in the US which is mind boggling. Even more so why are the people responsible for putting these astronauts lives at such great risk when it’s already so dangerous even at the best, why have they not been arrested? Who made this heinous choice? Surly they knew the ship wasn’t, isn’t, safe to fly in. They just didn’t care.

At least the DEI doors didn't fall off. Boeing is woke and broke.

The space station is 250 miles away. Low earth orbit. Same distance as a 4 hour drive from Denver to Grand Junction CO. We can’t get there and back for another year? Yet, somehow 57 years ago we had no problem going 238, 900 miles and back. In fact no human has gone beyond low earth orbit since 1972, with all todays technology. Of corse the government would never lie to us or censor information.

of course , Boeing aircraft and space project is the best in the world...
even doors or landing gears can fly on their own...
that's how good Boeing is...
safety comes first...

No bueno. The recovery time for astronauts, when they get home, is just about as long as the time they spend in space. The longer they have to stay the longer the recovery... Boeing cant even build an aircraft. Who thought they could build a spacecraft? Real big dummies. They better not put ANYONE in that thing for a ride home.

Surely they can purchase a SpaceX Dragon ride at some point. I'M pretty sure the Dragon can fit extra seats if it takes less cargo, so they could go on the next one.

Boing is doing DEI hiring... So, this shouldn't be shocking. AND it's been 2 months yet they still don't even have a plan to rescue them?!?!?! What in the actual F!

If I’m flying somewhere I think I’ll check it’s an airbus instead. Also, why on earth would you use another Starliner to rescue the first when it’s the problem & Dragon, a ship with a proven track record is available?

Oh my goodness, that is unacceptable. I sure hope they come home before 2025. 🚀 🌎

It does make you think eh, after all this time they have such massive issues. Makes you think about the Apollo mission to the moon and how they did that so long ago.

Oh no! These two astronauts aren't 'stranded', according to NASA. They are 'experiencing an extended stay'. Doesn't that make you feel better about Boeing's ability to build things that can fly?

Its OK... Boeing has a diverse team of accountants working around to clock to build "Starliner Max 8”, which will bring these astronauts safely back into profit.

Returned to earth? What do you mean?

Chances are this is the last trip to space before they retire so this prelonged stay in space untill Spacex will get them home is the best thing for them .
