Boeing, better hope the door doesn't fly off

They neglected to say that it will take a month to update the software on the Starliner. Testing will need to follow to make sure it is operating correctly. I doubt the astronauts expected an 8 day stay to stretch into almost a year. That much of a change reflects the extreme incompetence of this whole affair.

BUT THEY AREN'T STRANDED according to Boeing/NASA. If Boeing doesn't trust its spaceship to return them safely. Should we be flying on Boeing Airplanes where the doors and wheels fall off during flight????

I hope Williams and Wilmore did not sign NDAs. They'll have incredible books to write when it's all over about the problems and incompetence.

Boeing is such a sad company these days.

Why do they keep saying that the female astronaut will possibly face physical issues, the male astronaut won't??

Problem is that NASA has zero tolerance when it comes to astronaut lives and Boeing... well, you know. The capsule may absolutely come back safe and sound, but not knowing what the problem is makes a zero chance of failure not zero.

If it's Boeing, they're not going.

I have a theory that Space X has drawn in most of the top talent in the aerospace industry and now we are seeing companies like Boeing are suffering with quality and design issues.

Boeing's accountants say it is safe so it must be.

So they have enough food and water for months and months? Any other necessities needed as well? So what are they doing up there all day and night as I’ve never known what they actually do when up there anyway? Are they filming earth from there each day so we can see it id love to see the footage if they are

Sad but true: Boeing and NASA forgot to supply them with any changes of underwear. They have to wear the ones they were wearing at lift off and wash them every day.

Let me get this straight... They have on board computer that can't be switched to "Auto", because some parameters need to be updated manually ?
What is this, 1960s tech ? What's computer doing during flight then ?
Fiddling it's non-existing thumbs instead of updating parameters ?
It should have all data ready to go, regardless of what "manual mode" is set to do, and flicking a switch to "Auto" should be all that's needed.
Also, don't they have redundancy, ie. a second flight computer/backup one if main one "goes bad" - can't they use one of these ?
Wow... at least they have time to figure things out. Nobody knows what would happen IF they were pressed for time.
