Mini-Japanese lesson.

For my fellow weebs here, the sentence structuring in Japanese is

“Subject, Object then Verb”

Unlike in English which is subject verb object.

So for example:

I want to eat ramen

Ramen : ラーメン
To eat: 食べる

In Japanese it’ll be “ラーメンを食べたい”
“Ramen o tabetai”

The o is a particle, which is written in romaji as wo.

And degree words like “want, hate, like, love” are treated like verbs but come before the verb if there is also a verb, but usually if the degree word is want, there is a conjugation for “to want” for verbs in Japanese like “Tabetai, Nomitai, Hanashitai”

Another tip of learning Japanese is particles in Japanese, you can find them online. Learn hiragana and katakana, it’s mostly mémorisation.

For kanji, remember on and kun readings. It’s the rules of Japanese kanji but it can be broken. But the general rule is, if the kanji is on its own like の先が where it’s either by itself or surrounded by hiragana or katakana, 先 is read as it’s on reading or “saki” and in the case of 先生 it’s read as sensei.
