Gon (adult) vs Netero Who is the strongest?

Netero was literally able to do summon his ability, find the best move and attack at least 16.6 times per second. Netero pulling his hands together to summon his ability was faster than Meruem's speed . And Meruem was able to defeat Netero only because he found a flaw in Netero's ability. Adult Gon would never get through Netero's defenses, and 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva would eventually kill him

And this gon low diffed pitou, that too while being in a very bad emotional state.

Would be whole new story if gon was level minded.

In no point of the story royal guards were even slightly scared of Netero.

But pitou was scared and knew she would die. Only reason he fought was out of her loyalty.

Why do people put Adult Gon on the same level as Netero and Meruem?

Pitou said he’s Meruem level but she doesn’t know Meruem’s full strength, also Gon has never shown Speed Feats that make him win against Meruem & Netero, in fact Speed is the exact thing making me think that Netero & Pre-Rose Meruem could Low-Mid diff him, for Meruem leaning towards Mid-High Diff
Netero is also a amazingly fighter and has the most Defensive Nen Ability in the show, Adult Gon is the third strongest in the show but Meruem & Netero have a league of their own and easily beat him
Post Rose Meruem it’s a Very Low Diff fight he’s just to strong
Someone his level is Chrollo and Kurapika if we’re allowing his Nen Ability to be used on Non Troupe Members he does squash them though just in a High Diff fight, since in my opinion their above Royal Guard Level by a lot

Gon's potential is higher than Netero, I don't know by how much exactly because Dark Continent arc never really got started, but it's not just by a miniscule amount.


That said, in normal fight with Old Netero, Adult Gon wins. Against Old Netero's full on power of Bodhisattva where he is actually staking his life energy like he did with Meruem, it's a closer fight. The problem here is, even with all his might, Netero at that age wasn't really able to hurt Mereum, just keep him at bay. And the last attack too barely hurt him. So, I am sure Gon will fare worse than Mereum here, becoz he is all instinct and brawl but lags in pattern recognition & calmness as compared to Mereum, as well as heath regeneration. So, damage taken by Gon will be way more than Mereum especially without that imba regen, but ultimately Netero will not be able to take down Gon completely.

PS. Instant adult Gon Vs Mereum. This one I think Meruem edges out. Mainly because of his regen and pattern recognition are way higher. But Meruem will not come out unscathed out of that fight. He will be left with considerable damage.


But it get further complicated. Actually all we have seen is baby Meruem. He has not practiced any nen, and being a highly intelligent species, I think he also has a considerable room for improvement. Peak Meruem will be a monster for any human to take out. The Chimera Ant was a low level threat when compared with Dark continent threats. But i think Chimera Ant King at full potential will be definitely higher grade threat. So, Peak Meruem will not be defeated by any single human.

People here are severely underestimating adult Gon. I can't believe some are even suggesting that Netero is going to clap his cheeks no to low diff.

Meruem didn't even try during the fight. He only lost because of the nuke and its effects. He was overconfident in his strength. But that's because Meruem was born just days or weeks before this battle. Meruem lost because he was naive and inexperienced, he also didn't want to kill Netero. We already know that Pitou compared adult Gon to Meruem. We can deduce that Pitou at least imagined Gon to have a chance at defeating Meruem who was clearly much more powerful than Netero. Netero is clearly far more experienced than Gon. But adult Gon is definitely stronger and faster than Netero. Gon is an enhancer and enhancers are supposed to have some amazing defense and durability. When Netero yeeted Pitou, Pitou saw the hand movements. But Pitou didn't even see Gon leaving the room to fight. So Gon is def faster than Netero. Gon also has more aura than Netero which makes me think he has the capacity to severely damage Netero just like he did with Pitou. If Netero hits Gon, I don't think the blow would be anywhere fatal. But if Gon hits Netero, he's going to do far more damage. Gon has a higher chance of defeating Netero than the other way around. I think the deciding factor would be Gon's mental state during the fight. If Gon shows up rational like he was when he fought Hisoka in Heavens Arena rather than an emotion filled Gon like in his fight with Pitou then he def has the edge over Netero.

Seriously, adult gon is so strong, he s maybe far stronger than meruem.
Before Pitou even felt a single attack, she was saying "he s now as strong as the king". Then Gon dodged a super high speed attack like he was walking in the park (so speed wise we have no idea how it is when he s serious). And then he kicked her, no hard kick, only basically lifting his leg and that was so damaging to her that she couldnt move or do anything. (e.g. she could have spawned her doctor ability or terpsichora or abything mid-air to counter attack but she did nothing meaning the attack was so heavy, she could not even use her nen ability).
And after the punch, she was like surprised by his ridiculous strength and relieved. Why? because she saw that Gon even surpassed Meruem is strength. Why would she be so surprised during the whole fight when she knows already that he s on par with the king. It s because he was far stronger than her original anticipation.
Dont get me wrong. I love Netero. But his power level was just so high, it would be impossible for netero to take this. Another thing, when your attack output is so high, you can also just use this nen for defense. And when gon would use this nen for defense, netero couldnt even scratch him (like Meruem).

Dude only leveled up physically not mentally + got time to recharge cuz pitou thought she could took him by surprise which caused her getting flown.

I agree with a lot of this but neither of them really have much potential anymore, Netero is dead, and Gon lost his nen forever.

First off, gon only won because of his extreme hatred towards pito while netero could activate that form anytime.

Secondly, pito is weaker than mareum (the ant king) so you could argue that just because gon beat pito doesn’t mean he can bet mareum.

And for the record, if mareum's subordinates didn’t save him, he would've lost against netero.
