Converting to Disc Brakes: Adjustable Disc Brake Mount Holder

The adjustable disc brake mounts convert your bike to accept disc brakes when your frame doesn’t have mountings for disc brake calipers.

How does the adjustable disc brake mount work? The mount holder attaches to the frame so you can install a disc brake adapter/mount and caliper on your rim brake frame.

Each bike is different and you must adjust it to the right angle and deviation that correspond to your chassis.

To mount the adapter/bracket between the wheel and frame, I removed a spacer from the axle to fit it in.

Now attach the adapter to the frame.

Some modification is required to make it fit. The bolts are too long so I have to cut them to fit.

After taking some time of fitting, the rear thread is stripped, so I need to put a flex nut behind it to tighten with the bolt.

Install disc brake mount/adapter and caliper.
