Oh wow. All I had to do was go to Task Manager and Right-Click in one of the boxes (one of the boxes like CPU or RAM) and then it had an option to tick GPU on. SMh

It's not showing up... period. My PC doesn't acknowledge it's existence whatsoever. So yeah, it won't download any drivers for it. :/

I have this problem and so I thought my gpu was fried but then I tested again with the following scenario:

I have 3 motherboards, 2 are asus and 1 gigabyte.
Both asus motherboards didnt read my gpu but on the gigabyte it was totally fine.

I almost pooped my pants when I bought a new laptop, wiped the hard drive, & reinstalled windows and the GPU didn’t show up. I just scanned for hardware changes and it worked!

Hello, my OS is a freshly installedWindows 10(21h2), what worked for me was to install other pending driver updates needed specifically in Update... Somewhere along the way it will install an Nvidia driver (the driver version was one in 2020)... Got happy when it was detected in the device manager (it's the legendary GT710 lol), Note that, in my case I would have still needed an iGPU to navigate the to the settings and update the drivers, since plugging my display in the GT710's vga port would just give me a blackscreen saying "no display detected" (probably because it isn't recognized by my pc yet)
Though I have tried directly installing a driver dedicated to the GT710 in Nvidia's website, it says that there were no compatible devices detected and would not proceed with the gt710's driver installation.
If after updating the driver through the WindowsUpdate settings made the Windows DeviceManager detect the GPU, then you can now change the display settings in the BIOS/UEFI to use your GPU display.

If you still encounter the non-detection of the GPU in the device manager, my speculation is that the GPU might be already defective(mine was already 7 years old and I thought it already died on me, it was almost fried because I tried to install an NVMe adapter to the "PCI" slot even though it would only work in the PCIe slot, where unfortunately my GPU was already occupying that slot), it may also be due to a an electric surge caused by energy fluctuations if you don't have a good PSU that has an inbuilt function same to an AVR or an actual AVR unit to connect the pc to and plugging that instead in the outlet. A UPS also works.
