Russia orders troop pull-out from Ukraine’s strategic port city of Kherson

Moscow on November 9, 2022, ordered troops to withdraw from the strategic southern Ukrainian city of Kherson, as America’s top general estimated that 100,000 soldiers have been “killed and wounded” on each side, since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Kherson was the only regional capital captured by Moscow, and the retreat from the strategic city is seen as a major setback for Russia.
