Just discovered this. Great stuff! Been a long time fan of the Small Faces and their 'spinoffs'.
Mouscron (aka Moeskroen) is 15 km from where live, and even though i wasn't even born then, it fils me with such pride to learn about this venue and its gigs!

Thank you Famulus for posting this wonderful rare live album. I bought this CD from Amazon several months ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Also much thanks to Kenney Jones as he is the producer and made this wonderful piece of music history available to us fans. There are a few other live concert recordings available, but the sound quality is poor and you can't hear much due to the screaming fans. This recording captures the raw energy of this talented group of teenagers when they were first starting out, before the record companies and greedy management made them record songs that would be "hits" and ultimately ruined them by turning them into what many regarded as a teeny bopper band which they absolutely were not! At heart, they were soul boys. They are my favorite band (behind the Beatles) and I wish more people would discover them. RIP Steve, Ronnie and Mac - long live Kenney...

Here is a link to a very rare live video of the boys at the Marquee Club around the same time as this recording. Quality is not as good, but it is still special to see these dear boys before the fame, pressures and heart aches.

Cool stuff. Origin music.in a small club. THE RAMONES at CBGBS. The DOORS at the Whiskey. This is the stuff that inspires and gets copied, with a twist, naturally

Some of the vocals in the second song were directly copied by Led Zepplin about 5 years later. Steve Marriott had a great voice.

Is the original guitarist, Jimmy Winston still in the group at this point, or had he gone? I assume he'd gone but I'd love to hear a live set with him still playing.
