Beautiful city. I was deeply moved by the Peace Memorial. Was also hospitalized due to an issue in my leg. Spent a week in hospital and my portion of bill, even though I’m from USA, was about $2500. Great healthcare. I can’t wait to go back. 広島ありがとございました。

Hiroshima area is THE best...I'd forgoe the rest for an extended stay there. The locals are chilled out, slower vibe and stunning scenery. Great food and shopping!! Loved it.

Hiroshima is so nice! Miyajima is well worth a visit - the hike up the mountain with all the deers is just beautiful! And don't forget to visit Shukkei-en - it's a garden that resembles Japan itself. It also has one of the oldest trees that survived the bomb blast. And you already mentioned okonomiyaki. Absolutely underrated city!

Agreed! We were there a few months ago and it might have been my favorite place in Japan. Some of the best food we had was there, though I would avoid the tourist traps that are shilled on some influencer channels. There is one in particular that we walked into and it was full of every tourist in the city and nobody of a more local variety. Needless to say we turned and walked out again. It had been featured on some huge Japan YT channels (no, not your's Patricia). Bomb Dome was well worth seeing, along with the museum and of course the Orizuru Tower (try and go in the day and again in the night)

I am going to Japan end of the year and will stay for a few days in Osaka/Kyoto and will take the train for a day in Hiroshima. I realize one day isn't enough for everything but I hope it's enough to enjoy. This video was really helpful, thank you!
