This is What Happens if You Sleep 5 Hours or Less #rest Getting six hours of sleep or more each night is vital for overall health and well-being. Sleep plays a crucial role in the body's restorative processes, aiding in physical recovery, cognitive function, and emotional stability. During these hours, the brain consolidates memories, repairs tissues, and regulates various bodily functions. Sufficient sleep supports mental clarity, focus, and creativity, enhancing productivity throughout the day. It also helps regulate hormones that influence appetite and metabolism, contributing to weight management. A consistent sleep schedule improves mood and reduces the risk of mood disorders. Neglecting sleep can lead to a range of health issues, including impaired immune function, increased stress levels, and a higher susceptibility to chronic diseases. Striving for at least six hours of quality sleep fosters resilience, allowing us to face challenges with better physical and mental preparedness. Prioritizing sleep isn't just a luxury; it's a necessity for leading a balanced and vibrant life. So, give your body the rest it deserves and reap the countless benefits that a full night's sleep offers. #SleepWellness #HealthyHabits #RestorativeSleep #CognitiveFunction #EmotionalBalance #PhysicalRecovery #MentalClarity #ProductivityBoost #WellbeingMatters #SleepImportance #MindAndBodyHealth #SleepConsistency #MetabolismRegulation #MoodStability #HealthPriorities #ImmuneSupport #ChronicDiseasePrevention #SleepQuality #BalancedLife #WellnessJourney #ResilienceBuilding #doctor #medicine #longevity #interesting #fyp #fypシ

Insomnia. We may not live as long, but it will seem like we did because we're always awake.

I'm really glad I went on meds for my insomnia. Unmedicated, I just don't get tired at night and stay up until morning and the rest of the day, I only get sleepy the next night and even then it's only for maybe 6 or even 4 hours if it's really bad.
It has become a running joke with my friends though, because my meds have to be strong enough to basically knock me out cold within the hour. So we could be hanging out, and once I take my meds I go from wide awake to barely awake to zonked out snoozin in the middle of a conversation. One time my friend basically had to tuck me into bed while they were sleeping over XD
Still way better than a 20 to 4 hour ratio of sleep! Nowadays I get 8-9 hours of sleep every night :)

What happens when you sleep too much like 17 to 20hrs then stay up for 24 to 34hrs its happened to me quite a few times but I normally sleep 13hrs if I don't have something or someone to wake me up 🤦‍♀️
I do wonder if it has something to do with my Quetiapin

"Why would you want" it is the single dumbest question I've heard a doctor ask about a medical condition (which is saying something, cause I've heard some pretty dumb questions from doctors about my own conditions). Like, yeah, I'm just out here not sleeping cause it just sounds more fun. I just don't want to relax. I have no desire to turn my brain off and feel well rested. Gimme a break dude
