I don't think you people realize how much work and how expensive this would be.

The argument is that its expensive, but the time of all the people having to do the runaround because of lack of accessibility is worth a lot!

2025 I did my own status. Almost every lone today is about 60% Ada. I counted every fully Ada with non Ada on every line even tho some stations see multiple line which they see. This count also include all future priority Ada stations. This math was done before march 2025 when they added additional 16 stations to be Ada. Right now it only about 37%. Once this 26-29 capitol complete the percentage will go up. Keep in mind we inherited this mess that should been done in 1904.

How does NYC get away with this? Even without federal legislation, the city should have addressed accessibility. It’s an old system and I think even in 2025 I could understand if certain stops were just really difficult to add elevator access—but the actual numbers are simply not okay.

They should hire staff for each station not ADA to carry people up and down the stairs until they get elevators installed.

Moral of the story. If your disabled, don't live in NY or any other city full of millions of people who aren't disabled.
