We were on a week long trip in NYC and the $33 metro card was the best thing. We used it so much!

In India I can prebook on my phone, flash a QR code at the gates to enter or exit the Metro, touchtree.

Few problems with this: crime rates are up and someone can snatch ur unlocked phone with the bank info. Two: old people and non tech savvy people will need help using it. Three: you gotta make sure there’s money just like the metro card. 4: your phone dies, ur screwed.
