WEED TORCHING TOOL COMPARISON- MR HEATER vs MAG-TORCH UTILITY TORCH

Things are heating up on this weeks episode of Tool Review Tuesday! We're burning some weeds instead of spraying them with Roundup. In this video, I test out he ultra-portable Mag-Torch MT450 for the first time and compare it to the bigger Mr. Heater 500,000 BTU Handheld Torch which hooks up to a 20lb propane tank. What one do you like better? The smaller convenient size or the larger flame thrower?

Thank you for the instructional video. It is precise and ideal for aiming at small weeds surrounded by grass I want unharmed. The flame does not spread out much as with other torches. So yeah, this seems to be my next purchase. Thanks!

If you have dead or dry grass surrounding the weeds soak the grass with water first. Same if you need to get in fairly close to wood like a deck. Spray the wood down first with water. Good idea to have a hose close by in case flames gets out of control.

I used to spray weeds with roundup, but I would get annoyed with the dead aftermath. So, I used the torch to clean it up quickly.

You don't need to burn the weeds to a crisp. Just enough until they start to wilt. So you could do the 3 leaf vines. You may have to do it a number of times. When the vine puts on new leaves.

Oh I this!!! I have bittersweet roots all over along with a variety of others in the Pine Bush of Albany NY. They are ruining my granddaughters play area in my yard. I am allergic to most chemicals and even dish soaps so getting a flame thrower seems better then sitting on the ground pulling out roots where a trampoline, Swingset and deck are in my yard. CRACKED UP at the flame held upward btw….hilarious plus quick and easy. Liking the smaller 1lbs vs carrying around a tank.

Set yourself up with a Flame King kit fill kit and propane cannisters, those are DOT rated to be refilled, it will save you tons of money

My Aunt almost died when a neighbor burned poison ivy, she had to be rushed to the hospital due to the poison oils released into the air. Thanks for the video!! My method of weed remover is pulling by hand after a heavy to moderate rain ... hence, the need for back surgery!😂

This is not the way it's done. First, you wet the weeds, then you burn them but just enough to boil the little bit of water that is in the weeds. That way, you don't need to use more fuel to incinerate the weeds, and you don't blacken the area as much, although the blackness goes away after awhile. This is the best way to get rid of weeds on rocks, walkways and driveways.

Mark, Listen to this! If you saw my instagram post the other day I had 6ft weeds growing under my deck unknown to me and one literally grew through the decking but first it wrapped under the deck around two pool stairs, and even squeezed its way through a glass table top it literally grew through the part where the glass meets the outer metal ring! NUTS! They are resilient almost like doomsday survivable crops if you will hahah great video!

When I was a kid, my neighbor burned a bunch of brush that had poison ivy in it, and it's terrible, the smoke carries the oils, and they spread out on your skin more evenly. That was the worst case of poison ivy I've had

I JUST bought the Lincoln torch and was looking on youtube for tank adapters when I saw this video...great option! not sure if I shld return the Lincoln torch for this torch?! just want to quickly burn the weeds around the Lanai, driveway, etc Appreciate your content!

Fantastic except for the press button spark unless you can change the flint after it wears out. I have such a press button on a regular torch. After the flint wore out, a sparker would not light it. Replacing is expensive!.

I spray the weeds first and then torch them!
