Video surfaces of Marines being arrested on Camp Pendleton

Four months ago, 16 Marines were arrested on Camp Pendleton for their alleged involvement in a human smuggling ring.

As a Marine veteran I applaud this measure. It was made clear to all of us that if you commit a crime off base, you can be prosecuted by civilian and military authorities without being classified as double jeopardy. The chances of these individuals not being involved but still being singled out are very slim.
I personally witnessed and was in several battalion formations where MP's were called in to arrest Marines involved in illegal activities and it was an eye opener. U.S. servicemen and women are called to a higher standard than civilians and should be disciplined accordingly.

I was stationed on Pendleton 71-75. When you sign on they OWN YOU for the next 4 years. That includes any "right" to privacy. They can search you and your possessions any time they want. And you can be arrested any time or place they choose.
