Each year, this day of celebration marks the birth of our Corps while paying tribute to the persevering spirit our Nation has called on to fight and win its battles since 1775. This 244th year, we honor the Marine Corps Birthday and all Marines who serve or have ever served with the very first Marine Corps Birthday Cadence.

About the United States Marine Corps:

Brothers, I’m 55 now with grey hair, bad knees and back. I was feeling tired today not like my old self. A Devil Dog sent me this commercial and said “Don’t forget who you are! Happy Birthday!” Guess what? I am still highly motivated, truly dedicated, rompin- stomping ass kicking, whiskey drinking United States Marine! I got my mojo back! Oorah leather necks!

I am proud to say that I share a birthday with the United States Marine Corps. Though I was born 182 years after. My dad was a marine and my favorite nephew is today. So grateful for all how have and serve today.
