16 Marines arrested amid human smuggling investigation

More than a dozen Marines are under arrest on charges that include human smuggling. The Marines are based at Camp Pendleton, about 55 miles north of the Mexican border. David Martin reports.

If it’s proven that those Marines did what they’re accused of and found guilty in their courts martial, they should be dishonorably discharged and spend some time at Leavenworth. It’s one thing to get into a bar fight out in town, maybe even knock up an officer’s daughter, but it’s another thing entirely to violate the Constitution you’re oath bound to protect and defend.

As far as those sailors, they’re extreme men doing extreme things, and sometimes they get carried away when blowing off extreme steam. Doesn’t mean that they’re above justice, as we see here, they’ve got to answer for their actions.

The Navy Seal issue is absolutely absurd. These brave men need to blow off steam. The Marine smugglers are on a completely different level of criminality and should not have been reported together. PS: I'd rather have hard-drinking warriors at my back than the woke wusses of the new US military.
