QUESTION ABOUT encrypting USB Drive (Not Fully), Just so I could create encrypted file containers on a USB Flash Drive.

Any way you could explain to me the difference between just EXTRACTING (portable version) from the VeraCrypt Windows Installer version VS creating a "Travelers Disk" through Veracrypt Windows Installer for USBs vs installing the portable version straight from their site on to the USB. All 3 "methods" just put/create VeraCrypt on the USB so you can run Veracrypt "Portably"...

I'm asking as I want to encrypt my USB flash drive but NOT fully encrypt. I just want to be able to create an encrypted container (maybe more than 1) on one of my USB Flash Drives which is why I'm TRYING TO UNDERSTAND the DIFFERENCE between,

Step 1---Installing the regular VeraCrypt Windows Installer &

Option 1: Clicking the install file again but choosing the "extract" option and extracting it to the USB Flash Drive (Which would be creating a Portable Veracrypt).

Option 2: Creating a Travelers Disk (Through the "regular veracrypt windows 10 installer version) --- which ultimately is the same thing just adds the option of "auto-run" or w.e...
and/or lastly

Option 3: Just install VeraCrypt the portable version straight from their site to USB.

What is the difference between these 3 methods, if any?
& if there is a difference which method is considered "best" out of the 3 listed above.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
