A really excellent video, thanks. Just one small point. You don't need a music backtrack, it can be a distraction.

Very clear, step by step explanation. I was actually looking for Linux, but this Windows tutorial will be good for Windows-users who are in the majority.

good video, well scripted, nicely explained and easy to follow, nice video man.
only issue is how long it took to encrypt my drive tbf it was 128gb and isnt the videos fault but still kinda annoying. anyway still a very good and clear video.
i rate it a 9.5/10 goodjob

Sorry but you lost me after you said using your usb. You say back to the main menu. Do you open veracrypt and open your drive? or did you click on drive K randomly, then pick your drive from the drop down list? How did you get the password screen up?

it is so simple (to follow) and believe me I need simple but right at the end he speaks so quick and the music is loud it spoilt it all

While clearly a helpful video, you have such a soft and pleasing voice but, the music is too loud.

So do you need Vera crypt installed on the computer you will be using it on?

Very nice video. Regarding USB/External Drives, VeraCrypt states: "When you create a device-hosted VeraCrypt volume within a partition/drive, you can mount it by clicking in the main VeraCrypt window."  Operative words being "Auto-Mount Devices" which is to the right of Mount/Dismount button. I'm unsure the significance of this discrepancy as I'm new to VeraCrypt & wonder if you have feedback. Thx.

So to access files on the encrypted drive on any computer, you first have to install veracypt on that computer? Thank you

what about if you do not have administrative permission to install veracrypt on another computer such as Work, library, school, college, or public internet cafe? I guess you will NOT be able to use the USB flash drive. What is the other option available?

So whatever permanent drive letter you assign your encryption USB becomes the drive letter you assign to mount within the veracrypt app?

Someone please help me, i created a hidden partition on a usb flash drive with all super important documents/passwords, and photos of my son when he was a baby.
I have both passwords for the non hidden and hidden partition, I was relatively new to veracrypt and didn’t know how it worked, they never asked me to create a file container, the program allowed me to create this hidden partition without mounting it to a drive /file container. So now I have no way to access these files even though I have both passwords. How does that even make sense .

Very clear until you hit the "mount" and "dismount" part. Ihave no idea what those terms mean. so I don't know what you are saying. How do I open the USB drive? I mount it? ???

Is the USB drive automatically write protected if someone tries to format or delete the files.

I was copying files to an encrypted partition, it got stuck, I tried dismount and it was struggling, and I had to restart the computer. After the reboot I get a bunch of error messages when I try to mount, the partition is lost forever with all its files. Nice....
