This is so helpful, especially in making me realize that when I am overthinking that I should be present also I will surely do the tips you said like naming things using your senses and surroundings. Kind of similar with your point on expectations, but something I’ve learned from 4 years of therapy so far is that radical acceptance is sometimes best. At times, we get caught up in trying to control aspects of life that we just can’t and in trying to do so, we add more stress and anxiety to ourselves/life. With things we can’t control, just accept that it is what it is, but this doesn’t mean we can’t try to do what we can do on our part to better our situation and circumstances, regardless. Another thing also is that, it’s best to feel what you feel, and not run away from your feelings. It’s okay to feel low and be open about that.

Excellent video!!!! You were able to crystallize so many wonderful lessons and made them very easy to understand. Great reminder to everyone !!!

I want to contribute something that I found very useful as well. This comes from the book called The Four Agreements by M. Ruiz where he relates the ancient wisdom of Toltecs.
1. Do not take anything personally. There he explains that whatever people do it's because of them ( thier upbringings, their beliefs etc) and we have to remember that this is where they coming from. You meanshioned something similar as well.
2. Do not make assumptions. Here he is explaining that we often misread people's actions and words as we put them through our lenses. If something bothers, you it's best to ask others what they ment. Very often they ment it not how we assumed it. I asked for clarifications so many times just to be in awe how differently I took it. Highly recommend asking for more info.
3. Do your best. Here the author explains that our best today may be just doing nothing, but other times we can do a lot. We should be very kind to ourselves and our mistakes.
4. Be impeccable with your word. The way I understood this is that we have to be choose our words very!!! very carefully. The word has an enormous power. It's best to take time and find the right word to describe the situation or feelings. For example one can say: this is ugly. or one can say: I would prefer this to be less angular. ))))
