And this is why necessary resources should be owned by society, not corporations.

Finland has largest fresh water resources in the world per capita. 3-5% of fresh water in the world is in those over 100 000 lakes and 95% of those water resources is clean enough as it stands, to be distributed in major European/American cities with less strict regulations that in Finland have for drinkable water

And it begins. At least we'll know who to fight now.

So maybe people will realize who the real enemy is. Hint not the Government.

Hey guys. I have an idea.  How about... how about... we don't build large cities in regions with scarce water resources?

And the thing to do here is to not regulate banks, but to scapegoat Jews, because anti-semetism will prevent any coherent discussion about the problem, which is exactly what I'd want if I were a Wall Street banker.

Bush bought a 100K acre aquifer along the Paraguay border after leaving office and exempting Halliburton from the Clean Water Act.

We're getting to see that some people just don't care for their fellow man as much as they care for, and need, even more money. That they wouldn't care if someone died from not having water right in front of them, too bad the person couldn't afford the water they were willing to sell them. Shows the humanity, or lack of humanity, some people posses. If these people could they'd buy up the air we also all need to live. Then bottle it and charge us to live.

Abby Martin brought this up a while back. Specifically the corporation Nestle, which actually responded to her criticisms directly and yes hilarity ensued.

and that is why it should be illegal to own a natural resource. I can see my hydro bill now. Not only will they charge me for pumping water to my house, but they will charge me for each drop of water I use even though they don't make water.

Some of those same corporations are polluting natural water sources such as aquifers and rivers to add insult to injury. However, I do want to make the point that their money is coming from somewhere.

Perhaps, it would be in everyone's best interest to see if they can channel their daily purchases to work in favor of companies that have good business practices. Essentially, I'm proposing a boycott on corrupt companies.

Funny how what must have been a decade ago I read about a scientific discovery, it was about finding the right thickness and temperature variation required to restructure common silicon to have holes permeable to water and not salt.  It was a desalinization filter that cannot be clogged by salt and required no power once made.  Flexible and strong enough to make a cylinder you could just dunk in the ocean and it would fill with completely salt free water.   I suppose if such a thing existed commercially it would be impossible to have any sort of water wars, guess we cannot have that- something that could close off a frontier of corruption and exploitation.

The centralization of water into a few hands is a major stepping stone toward a global, monolithic banking state.  Give me your water and I'll give you absolute despotism over every aspect of life.

Water is why China will never give up Tibet en why Israel will never give up the Golan Heights. Wars have allready started over water.
