It's recommended to save at least 15% of your income in a 401k. You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. Saving at least 15% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. By saving this much, you can take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings over time.

Becoming a millionaire through a Roth IRA or a 401(k) involves different strategies for maximizing profits. A Roth IRA offers tax-free withdrawals in retirement, which can be advantageous if you expect to be in a higher tax bracket later in life. On the other hand, a 401(k) provides tax-deferred growth and potential employer contributions, boosting your savings. The optimal choice depends on factors like your current and future tax situation, employer match, and investment options. Consulting a financial advisor can help tailor a strategy that aligns with your financial goals and circumstances.

100% agreed, my so called target retirement fund in 401k had absolutely terrible return compared to sp500. I moved all to sp500 but biggest regret of my life I didn't do it sooner..What else is best way for me to invest $300k in a non-retirement account?

A Friend told me Saving at least 15% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. is this a good way to potentially grow my retirement savings to about $3M over time?

Retirement planning is essential. Did you know that in certain regions, you need over a million dollars to retire comfortably?

My strategy is to put half my income into the stock market at the start of every month, regardless of what is happening.
The second part of the strategy is not to sell for at least 15 - 20 years. Time in the market beats timing the market.

My growth of 401k is 2.74% in the past 6 months. In this environment does investing under a brokerage with a custodian outperform a 401k? should I seek a pro to grow my funds on brokerage acct or still hold? I have 5 years to retirement. Happy to discuss.

People are facing a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire.

I've been diligently working, saving, and investing towards financial freedom and early retirement. However, the economy's downturn since the pandemic has significantly eroded my portfolio. My question now is: Should I continue contributing to my portfolio in these unstable markets, or should I explore alternative sectors?

Imagine someone takes money out of a 401k and puts it into a life insurance policy because they heard this guy on a YouTube short

As a soon retiree, keeping my 401k on course after a rocky 2022 is top priority. I have been reading of lnvestors making up to 250k ROI in this current crashing market, any recommendations to scale up my ROI before retirement will be highly appreciated

I'm a 48-year-old doctor feeling burnt out from long hours and stress. I've never invested in a retirement portfolio because I've always believed the economy would collapse eventually. However, I plan to retire soon and I'm curious: If you had $400k to invest safely in stocks over 4-5 years to grow, how would you start?
