You can also do all this including machines and get to do doing a pull up

I can't understand why not just keep doing negatives immediately.I learned my first pull up like that.

When you get to 1st pull up, just do negatives after it for a few weeks, when you think you can finally hold it. Try adding another one and keep improving the same way. The key is to rest 1-2 days before you do it again. Your strength will greatly increase.

Warning if your shoulders hurt like a sharp pain, don't push it. You need to build muscles

Out of all the branches of bro science, calisthenics has the worst of then. I have heard people saying things like chin-ups being for your shoulders, front levers for your spinal erectors, pull-ups training your chest and a lot more.

Both assisted pull-ups and lat pulldowns WILL carryover to free pull-ups, that is a FACT, heck, even things like bicep curls and rows will carry over since strengthening any muscle that is active in pull-ups will have carry over

Or you can do what I did and attempt pull-ups until you get it.

I wish I found this when I first started. It’s ok though. I fell off hard recently but I’m trying to get to 20 so I can do a muscle up.

well, i started with assisted pull up machines, slowly increased the difficulty. Now i do 10kg weighted pullups for 7 reps.

sooo, everyone you can do lat pulldowns or assisted pull ups, just keep increasing the difficulty. And one day you will be able to do pull ups

Bro I got my first pull ups just training my biceps, no way training lat pulldowns and assisted pull ups won't let you get a first pull up

Pull ups are overrated. Do rows instead.
