Makes perfect sense. Stability is there, so you can focus on the main muscles without losing form. T bar rows are not at almost any gym, so people have to improvise.

I gotta gotta agree with him on this one for once because it looks dumb or that it could be done in a simpler way and fitness influencers always be trying to find or do things that look “advanced” when there is a simple way of doing them
Also a lot of benches aren’t built like that or that a lot of people are her size or build to fit like/on that

Chest supported rows are objectively superior to standard bent over rows, it’s not lazy, it’s stability. Allowing you to focus on the targeted muscles more and get optimal hypertrophy.

The Incline row is fantastic for hypertrophy for a ton of reasons, it's a great isolateral movement, you can get a deep stretch, every rep is forced to look the same, and it takes the lower back out and helps avoid lower back fatigue. This is not to say it's better than a bent over row or pendlay row, but it is a good alternative especially if you have lower back issues
