How to Fix Windows Defender Not Turning On

If you are having trouble enabling windows defender then this video is for you. The windows defender problem is common when you have uninstalled a antivirus program or anti-malware program from the computer. Sometimes the disable Windows Defender registry key is not removed from the computer, which will now leave the anti-malware program disable.

Also windows defender services could be stopped or group policy setting is set to disable windows defender. I will show you all these in this video.

Sir, YOU ROCK!!! I had an issue with my Win10, WD, telling me that "your IT administrator has limited access..." and couldn't figure out how to regain control of WD. My problem, more than likely, came from a AV program I previously had, and didn't remove properly. The AV program, like you stated, may have changed settings in WD, to prevent it from doing what the AV program was designed to do; or at least, not interfere. All-in-all, after watching your video and following the steps in "regedit" and "grpedit", I was able to get things back to normal. Can't thank you enough. Thank you much. I went on line to try to fix my windows defender over and over so much time so many problems. I starting watching your video and watched it a few times took notes and did it just like you said and turned off my computer then back on and it fixed it. I cant thank you enough. I just went to Services-> Windows Defender-> Windows Defender Antivirus Service Double click and Start.
Then I went on to Restart the Windows Defender. And it instantly started working again.😌🤩🥳
