I remember thinking this back when I looked like a skeleton at 130lbs. But then I decided that I was done making excuses, and started lifting every other day. Getting the calories in was hard and staying consistent was even harder during the first few months. But I didn’t give up, and now after three years I finally reached 165lbs. Skinny guys always have a tough time getting the results, but Rome wasn’t built in a day, keep at it and you’ll get there!

I’m 24 years old, a girl, 4’11, and I have some genetics that can prevent me from losing a lot of weight (or very slow weight loss) on some areas on my body (legs, etc) also have hormonal issues which I needed to take medication in when I was 12. Gained a lot of weight during pandemic (81kg) and lost around 20 kilos so far today and I’m looking fitter, even though I still need to lose more, don’t let genetics or anything stop you, slow progress is better than no progress.

Well said. I happen to have very bad genetics regarding legs, and even skipped leg days because of it. Now I know I just have to deal with it.

Today was my leg day . Started crying after 30 intensive minutes without a break because i finally did it . Was doing squats with 13 kg on my back, did more than 100 and even more exercises. It may not be much, but for me, I'm finally making my goals realistic . Thank you for the motivation i needed . Stay strong and motivated kings

Regardless of if this was for fitness or not, "Don't give up because of things you can't control, just do your best with what you have" is great advice for life in general.

I have always compared myself to my friend because he has "good genetics" but i forgot one thing, hard work.

damn, i didnt want to work out today, was super unmotivated. Just took a walk in the city and came home absolutely destroyed. but this gave me the push, to go workout. subbed right away. Thanks for this channel

Man I used to have terrible legs, and I mean they were like twigs. But I kept training them and I’ve almost got a 120kg squat, plus the size of my legs is now proportional to the rest of my body, can’t say anything else than that I am proud of myself for pushing through and not making any excuses. Keep grinding bros, you’ll get there
