“Saki Sanobashi, often paired with the subtitle Go For A Punch, is a fictional OVA from the late 1980s or early 1990s. According to rumor, the OVA is 30 minutes long and features anywhere from three to nine high school girls trapped in a bathroom with no doors or windows, who eventually all commit suicide in a gruesome manner.
The anime was first spoken of in a 4chan post◊ from 2015, from a thread asking users about the most disturbing things they've seen on the deep web, and has since been covered by the likes of Whang on YouTube. A subreddit dedicated to researching and attempting to find the lost anime was made in 2019, but as the content is no longer taken seriously by its members, anotherhas been made for serious discussion only. A person claiming to be the original 4chan poster later visited the subreddit claiming that they fabricated the story about Saki Sanobashi in a matter of minutes as a joke, but the lack of any definitive means of verifying that they were indeed the original poster means that the OVA's existence is still very much up in the air depending on who you ask. If it is fake, it'd certainly beat out Ichiban no Tempura or Keit-Ai as the most memorable fake anime not related to Dragon Ball Z.” The

This was originally a 4chan post. Op said he made it all up. This is just vaporware.

Honestly, it would be really funny if one of the big anime studios created a new anime based on these rumours and then tried to pass it off as an archival rerun.

To be fair, theres probably a lot of forgotten media that never made its way onto the internet because someone didnt feel the need or there wasnt anyone around to put it onto the internet.

Like a highly specific problem you want a solution to or something that is deeply mediocre and doesnt illicit a response negative or positive.

Even if it’s a hoax. It’s pretty cool seeing people’s takes and interpretations about the apparent storyline. Ther’s a lot of effort put into these fan animations.

Maybe the real Saki Sanobashi was the friends we made along the way.

If 4chan couldn't find it, then it doesn't exist.

I swear, Saki Sanobashi has always been nothing but a low-effort 4chan/gurochan in-joke for ages. Seeing it turn into a mandela effect type meme is so surreal to me.

Anybody hear of the experiment where they showed people who went to disneyland promo for disneyland that had bugs bunny in it and when asked they SWORE they met bugs bunny, shook his hand, took pictures with him, etc. But thats not possible because bugs bunny was never at the parks. Memories are crazy things that can be altered. Seeing screen grabs and hearing a plot can sew it into someones mind that they HAVE seen this anime. Even if its fake.

For more context: this anime (go for a punch translated) was about some highschool girls who wake up in a bathroom whit no windows or doors an no possibility to escape, they rapidly become insane and start killing each other so it was a gore movie. It started whit some guy in a forum asking "does anyone know this strange anime?". People vaguely remembered and searched it for years, even some recreated it but turns out it was all made up and a silly little prank

What gave credibility to this whole story is the fact that for a very long time people thought that the "Clock Man" was also nothing but a made up story of a troll and the cartoon he said he remembered never actually existed.

But then someone actually found it, and it's even available for everyone to watch on youtube.
