There was a 2007 animated film of Phantom Blood the first part of Jojos. However, you can find it anywhere. There are recreations of the this but it simply does exist anymore. This film was never released publically and has not been released to home video. But hey atleast we have the other jojo ova. Insert iggy scene.

Jojo phantom blood movie is not what we called OVA. It's a movie. Jojo part 3 90's & 2000's is an OVA. It's only released on VHS, DVD and LaserDisc.

So what I heard was the film company that produced the movie lost the licensing rights to jjba which in turn only allowed them to show the movie in theaters in Japan for only a few weeks Before having to scrap it as a whole, destroying film reels and everything else with it. there is only 20 minutes of leaked footage from a home movie that someone recorded back in 07… so unfortunate that the jjba phantom blood movie was never released over here

The movie does exist, it's just nearly impossible to find, but we'll get there, there is a team that's doing their best finding it, idk if they did it already but they planned to reach out to cinemas in Japan, which played the movie, it was never released to the public as DVD's or tapes or anything, but was played in cinemas in Japan, one day it will be found

This was not an OVA. This was a movie shown in Japanese cinemas. An OVA is an Original Video Animation, basically meaning something in the same vein as the Disney direct-to-DVD sequels. This was a movie shown in Japanese cinemas, thus it is not an OVA, it is just a lost movie.

your a lil close, the movie was finished and did release to theaters however it never got a home media release
there's currently no known reason why, rumors have floated around and ppl have even asked those who worked on the film and nobody has an answer

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Phantom Blood, was shown in clips in Watchmojo. I think the pacing was good there. It was serious, hilarious without being made as a meme, and emotional. I wish there were more stories that got this treatment. In books, manga, and video games.
