Crazy part is, this all happened with a 20 minute delay. By the time they received the touchdown notification, the rover had already been on the ground for 20 minutes. Must be nerve wracking to just have to wait to see what happens

How awkward. They all wore the same outfit on landing day.

But did they use common core math though?

There’s a girl up front with chocolate brown hair... she looks like the girl from the 2004 Opportunity landing. I hope that is her witnessing another successful touchdown

CBSN reporter: So we got it there, that's nice, but... the Lander won't be coming back?
NASA guy: ummm, no.

Lol

I half expected her to question whether or not the astronauts on board were consulted of this fact.

"Ummm no, we find the volunteer rate for the missions to Mars drops precipitously if we try and volunteer too much information up front. So will we will let them hang out there were a couple of days, and then gently break it to them that sorry, the "Go back to Earth" button on the dashboard doesn't actually do anything."

Why don't we have a camera on the moon showing the earth spinning? We can send a rover to Mars but we can't put a camera on the moon? Fake
