Yoda punked out because his 800 years of experience of training Jedi blew up in his face. He knew that his dogma is what brought the galaxy under the yoke of the Siddious/Sheev Palpeltine. Neither Ben nor Yoda would ever admit the truth that they were blinded and fearful of the Darkside. Hence, it was their fears that led the galaxy to the darkside.

Great to see Yoda finally growing a brain and some compassion. Now if only he actually cared enough to have gave Anakin some of that compassion and care.

I thought it would be for helping keep them secret?
I feel like they may have showed up in the force brighter which would make them easier to sense (or people who know them being interrogated. )

it’s literally explained at the end of revenge of the sith, yoda specifically tells obi wan not to train them because the emperor would sense it. we’re talking about the same emperor who can use the force from planets away via hologram

But Luke didn't grow up with love and family. He grew up in an unstable home with an emotionally-abusive, narcissist uncle and a overly-apologetic, codependent aunt. Luke shared more of a connection with Obi Wan after the few days they were together than his step relatives.

Well, I think it’s obvious that considering how he handled Ahsoka’s trial coupled with him pushing Anakin to spy on the Chancellor shows he didn’t have the wisdom he should have had. He compromised too much.

Actually, it was Yoda’s rigid dogma that doomed the Star Wars universe; not saved it. He and the rest of the Jedi Council were so stuck in their outdated ways that they failed to see the darkness rising right under their noses. Their refusal to adapt, their blindness to emotion, and their habit of snatching children (like Anakin) from their families (while leaving those families in slavery, no less) planted the seeds of their downfall. The whole Jedi system was flawed.

I totally disagree with the idea that Yoda “saved” the galaxy by not training Luke and Leia as kids. They didn’t train them young because they were hiding. If they did, it would’ve drawn Empire heat and gotten everyone killed. That wasn’t wisdom. That was survival.
