91 Toyota Corolla - Hotwire Rig

My ignition switch broke, and while I was repairing it I needed to drive. So I took a moment to figure out how to hot wire my car and I made a handy rig to make it easier to do.

Thank you! Followed your “instructions” exactly and it worked liked magic on my 92 Toyota truck. You have inspired me to try something similar on a 1998 GMC van that has a busted ignition switch. You don’t really say how you bypassed the steering wheel lock without a key. But maybe your situation was the same as mine.

I know this is late but my car got broken into and they broke off the female connector to the starter so I just have lose wires they are white, blue red, black yellow, black white, black red and red. what ones cover which parts of the starter, thanks.

Having trouble with my 92 randomly not getting enough current to engage the starter. Have added a wire under the hood to override it. Any idea what would be a weak point that would stop it from cranking. Will go days without a problem, then won't start.
