Edit: I am in no way saying that anorexia is the only eating disorder! I have met many different types of people with different types of disordered eating, and it’s different for everyone. Thanks so much for all the likes, I’d like him to see this.

I was put on the whole 30 diet by my doctor as an elimination diet, because I have an autoimmune disease. It worked for me. It helped me figure out what foods caused what symptoms. My doctor did do a baseline test for all my vitamins/minerals before hand though.

I did my first Whole 30 in July and it was fantastic! My acne cleared, my energy level was improved, and I lost 12 lbs. I think cutting out added sugar and processed food is a game changer. Whole 30 gave me a structure that was simple to follow and healthy habits that I'm still using. Good luck with the challenge! :)

My mom did whole 30 and made whole 30 dinners for my family for the whole month. The meals are really good.

Doing the Whole30 changed my life! It completely eliminated my anxiety disorder. I used to suffer from daily panic attacks, and they completely disappeared when following the Whole30. My hayfever disappeared, too, and I stopped getting motion sickness. It also stopped my regular sinus infections from returning. It was easily the best thing I've ever done. I highly recommend it.

I suffered from both Eczema and IBS--- did Whole30 eliminated my symptoms . I found that my eczema was caused by Dairy-cleared up not eating dairy. Once I started to eat diary- broke out again.

As a vegetarian, I have absolutely no idea how I would get anywhere near enough protein on the Whole 30 diet

I’m on the whole30 right now! A week in and I feel great, I thought the restriction were scary but as soon as I jumped in everything has been great. It’s hard for people that aren’t used to cooking all the time, but that’s not my problem. Good luck to you!

I was addicted to sugar and Whole30 helped me kick the habit. It literally changed my life bc now I am extremely conscious about what ingredients I put into my body. I’m on it for the 4th time now BUT I am eating lentils and oatmeal so it’s a tweaked version. As always my energy and moods are improving by the day! ☀️🥰

As a undergrad Dietetics student i really appreciate you throwing out a reminder to consult a Registered dietitian! Whole thirty helped changed my dads life but to try and give it more credence than we can prove is irresponsible.

As someone with Celiac, I appreciate your clarification on it's claims to treat disease. It's also true you should always do a vitamin panel if you're not feeling 100% before turning to diet. Recently, I'd been feeling more fatigued, and saw my symptoms lined up with Anemia (as well as chronic fatigue syndrome and depression), but I figured I'd start with the basics, vitamins. I used to be vitamin D deficient, and I take in absolutely no Dairy, however- my whole foods 365 unsweetened Almond milk has vitamin D in it which have kept my levels normal. Even though almond milk is a processed food, for me, it's been healthy.

Turns out, I was anemic, and after iron supplements and some lean steak (I eat TONS of Spinach and greens daily, but it's just not enough) I feel so much better. No more getting dizzy in workout classes.

I had to do this for my hashimoto's disease after YEARS of symptoms that wouldn't go away. Turns out gluten and soy are pretty nasty triggers for my Hashimoto's. I later got that confirmed by an allergy/sensitivity test by my dr. And Dr. Mike is correct about the 90 days instead of 30 while only introducing foods every 2 weeks.
