You measure your body, then look at the size charts on the website, that’s the best way I’ve found!

I'm not so tall, athletics, and in my late 50's, my go to lately has been the Levi's 511's. Good all around fit and works with shoes or boots.

G Star Raw is the only brand you ever need.

They custom the waist and length and have all the fits you would ever need.

I wear both Levi's 511 slim straight and 502 regular taper. I wear 511 with closer fitting or tops & shirts. Then 502 for purely regular fitting uppers, thick sweaters or jackets

Lived in jeans all my life, except my days in a uniform. It is good to be old and only care about utility and comfort now. Vertx Defiance jeans have replaced Levi 501’s as my go to. I do miss the button fly.

For guys with big muscular thighs, Levi's 541 and American Eagle Athletic fit are amazing

This was super helpful! Honestly, I have always had trouble finding the right type of jeans.

For all my fellow bodybuilder/Fit X Frame guys the best jeans I found are the American Eagle Athletic Fit AirFlex. I'm 5'9", a lean 200lbs and wear 34/32 in these. Fit and comfort is EXCELLENT compared to all others, soft stretch, tapered, and around $40. I've got them in all colors. Best jeans I've ever worn after gong through multiple brands.

Just donated all stretch jeans, I only wear selvedge jeans instead, better fit, more comfort when they‘re broken in..❤ nudie jeans from sweden made of japanese or italian denim… they last for ages..

Levi used to make a line of jeans called 555 and fit great. Not too loose and not too tight, just right. Back in the late ‘90s I couldn’t find them anymore and I asked one of the stores I bought them from and was told Levi conducted a survey. From that survey they killed the 555 and came out and replaced it with 565 I think but it didn’t fit well. Levi 550 are what I wear since then that are the closest to 555.

Nice video, good info as always. I liked how you started out talking about body type spicifics but then you stopped at the muscular body build. Its often difficult for me to find information on being a bigger guy. Mostly because im not tall. Im 5 ft 9 but close to 300 lbs... i know, i know, hit the gym, but id like to know more about dressing the the body i have currently.

I bought a Wrangler MWZ 13 two months ago, for the first time in my life - I felt in love.
How goods them look on legs is incredible.

Yes, we men struggle with this. Problems are: 1) there's a whole spectrum of body types, and most clothes makers can only choose a certain type and then provide different sizes; 2) body types also change. Best solution is to find some kind of jean that is flexible. I think some Chinese brands make "jean" like that. Let's not talk about the quality yet. If it fits you, it boosts your confidence.

I'm a skinny dude 46years old, my perfect fit is a raw jeans that fit me like a slack trousers before soak yet slightly longer long enough for a double cuff, then after soak, and throughout several first washes it will shrink down to look like jeans fit hugging the waist and hip and upper thigh more, and looser after the knee, and the shrunken leg will be long enough to have a proper stack to get perfect jeans silhouette. the tip is always wear the jeans with strong leather belt or strong canvas belt to keep the waistline from stretching out of shape, I still have skinny jeans but only in black and also with slight flare on the hemline to stack a bit over the shoes/ boots, BTW "max 9oz denim as pants, 16oz is ridiculous" is this real? all my jeans are between 19oz and 24oz, my western denim shirt that is 9oz...

and also really??? triple stitched supima cotton jeans is this thing really exist or you made this up, or are you talking carpenter pants in denim, which is NOT jeans, and I'm almost sure it won't be made in supima cotton because painter who wear this denim carpenter pants don't care for supima cotton because they probably wear it as overpants and the fit is loose so the pants have enough room to move around and not being strained anywhere to require long staple cotton.

The correct rise length is probably the hardest to find. Wranglers generally have a bit of a higher rise - but imo could still use a bit more room in the crotch. Antonio, you didn't mention Comfort of one's male parts. 😂
