Mount Vernon is the home to the first president of the United States, George Washington. History might mostly remember him as a general in the Revolutionary War, or the first President, but he was much more than that. Entrepreneur, master equestrian, and innovative agriculturist, Washington was a man with many different sides. His legacy is reflected today at his estate in Virginia. I’ve actually been there once on a field trip whilst attending Burnt Mills Elementary School back in the late 90’s. Looking back, I can say that I’ve been inside the home of America’s 1st president🤗

We just came back from visiting George Washington's Mount Vernon. We took our 9&10 yr old granddaughters and they were super excited about everything they saw and learned. It was a super amazing experience! We want to go back ❤️

I was there twice, back in the 70's. It was as mystical/wonderful a place back then as it seems to be today. I was humbled then to walk its grounds as I'm sure people are today.
