As someone who did all kinds of training for these type of gases for power plants and paper mills etc, they had MAYBE 5 seconds to get 100 ft away from a spill that size..

In US both driver & vehicle have to be certified for HazMat I can't imagine he wouldn't know, although this was Spain. A mysterious couple showed up to crash site, woman claimed to be a nurse. They quickly removed a large covered bundle, loaded it into their van & sped off. It was also determined that the acid, itself would not have dissolved his body. The boy would be 34 now and no one knows what happened to him. Neither the couple, nor the van were ever found. Although searching for the van was extensive.

This is really vague like there’s the whole her01n thing. There were traces and the rest of the family admitted the dad was forced to move shipments for a local ring. A Nissan van showed up on the scene before emergency services and took “a bundle” from the truck and disappeared. The truck stopped 12 times in the 13 km before the crash and there’s no explanation for that. There was a lot more going on than just a family taking a trip.
