I mean kidnapping and torturing your own nephew to death is up there as well (rip viserys)

I'd argue wiping out his second wives entire family all because she had a miscarriage was pretty messed up, like he killed an entire noble house for something that had nothing to do with it.

He also trapped and killed every last man who had worked on his holdfast, in order to preserve the secrets of the Red Keep… They all thought they were being honoured for their hard labor. Poor lads…

The cruelest act we have details on. Maester Gyldayn refrains from going into any detail about Queen Alys Harroway's death by torture at the hands of Queen Tyanna, the Pentoshi witch, every second of which was overseen by Maegor...

Love your content! Could you make a short about Saera Targaryen's life?

Maegor saved his dynasty by eliminating the faith militant, but did nothing but harm and destruction to everything else. When he died, everyone was starving and poor, and war had ravaged the whole southern half of Westeros,

Maybe Maegor was not the best king, but very important to the whole Targaryen dynasty. I mean, some people are still afraid of him even after more than two years from his death. He showed that not to fuck with Targaryens and actually gave the strenght to his dynasty.

Currently reading fire and blood and am on king jahaerys’s reign but man Maegor was definitely a horrific ruler and certainly had the most fitting nickname.

The cruelest thing he's ever done was in prisoning Viserys his nephew and torturing him for information of where his mother had fled to. which he didn't know since he was with him(Maegor) the whole time.. It was so pointless and cruel hence the name

Idk. That’s cruel as fuck, but murdering an entire workforce of innocent blue collar masons and builders and carpenters just to keep the secret tunnels of the Red Keep a secret… that’s pretty shitty man. At least he let them feast first and killed them swiftly (or so we think), but that’s an entire generation of children made fatherless and wives widowed. Torture is horrible, but the sheer numbers of talented innocent citizens brutally slaughtered… so sad.

Maegor did whatever it takes to disband the Faith militia and Cersei undone all his hard work by restoring it.

I'm totally in favor of Maegor's actions against the faith. if anything, he didn't go far enough against them. Dracarys!!
But forcing Black Brides to marry him was intolerably cruel.

Maegor was the king the seven kindoms needed but not the one it deserved.

That is very cruel, I don't blame Magor for wanting to set a example when it comes to the faith militant. The faith militant are just as cruel to people as Maegor.

Doing something like what Maegor did to that guy though isn't setting a example for people to trust the Targayans rule, it's just a act of vengeance because they didn't trust Maegor as a person.

Theres a difference between setting a example as a king and a act of vengeance as a individual. A Kings choice would have been destroy the rebellion then execute the leaders while sending all those who refused to except defeat to the wall. A individual seeking vengeance treats his enemies the way Maegor did to that man.

Maegor isn't entirely in the wrong though, the only reason Maegor ended up walking the path of vengeance is because people didn't trust his leadership capabilities. Had they trusted his gifts, they'd have been able to keep him thinking like a king.

Tatums been more consistent than harden. But harden goes off when he’s on point. If harden has under 30 Celtics win by 10

He was a necessary evil. Yes he did horrific things, but if he hadn’t done any of those the Targaryen dynasty would have probably been eliminated. Although he also killed a lot of family members so he was also a menace to the dynasty 😅

Strange man, Maegor. A strong king, a decisive king. But a cruel and bloodthirsty man who brooked no opposition whatsoever.
