“Have you ever been so desperate for an heir that you marry 6 different women??” Yeah we’ve all been there mate

I like how Tyanna decided to poison her competition but didn't give him any children either. She just woke up and chose chaos I guess.

Killing your nephew and taking his widow as your bride is some next level shit. Also usurping his throne.

Given Tyanna confessed to avoid torture, she might have been lying. Confessions under torture can't be trusted. People will say whatever to end the pain. Those deformed stillbirths might have been just due to Maegor's genetics.

The blood magic that his mother employed to strengthen him backfired on his children, I think.

Took him long enough to figure out what was going on. And although it was Tyanna poisoning these poor babies, not once did Maegor think that maybe something was wrong with his seed for his babies to come out like that. Of course not. Blame the women.

Yes. I actually have married 6 different women for an heir. You’d be surprised how common it is in the Midwest suburbs. Gotta have a solid heir to take over our student loan debt and medical bills when we die.

I think the theory from the books that Maegors children were deformed or died because he actually died in the trial of 7 and was brought back but lost the ability to have kids.

After marrying 6 women, it would be good time to think, "Hey, maybe I'M the problem!"

also the black brides were called like that because all three of them were widows and if im not mistaken, Maegor killed both Rhaena's husband (his nephew that he stole the throne from) and Elinor's husband died in a battle (the one where his nephew and he battled for the throne, if I'm not wrong)

His heir was actually the Princess Aerea Targaryen, the daughter of Queen Rhaena Targaryen, she was the one who rode Balerion after Maegor's death and unknowingly went to Old Valyria during the early reign of Jaehaerys I Targaryen

I think Maegor was the product of black magic by his mother's weaving. His seed was cursed. He would never have been able to sire an heir

Pretty sure Tyanna didn’t actually poison any of his children/pregnant wives. When Maegor turned on her he had her imprisoned and tortured and only then did she “admit” to poisoning his offspring. I think he needed a scape goat because he literally could not accept that he was the problem. So he tortured her until she falsely confessed and then used that excuse. There was something wrong with his seed.

Its funny if you think about it. Visenya died of old age but her side of the bloodline died with Maegor. Whereas Rhae (cant remember her name) died young but her bloodline lived on.
