-download an app to record your daily spending - you can then compare each month and see if you have been overspending
-have a rough monthly budget for necessities and a monthly 'shopping budget' so that you don't overspend
- have two bank accounts- one that you save/invest and another which you use for spending
-think a week or two before you actually purchase a product (online or offline)

I don't have much money; However, I have no college debt, currently have very little to pay off, pay my Bill's and rent on time, and what little I have left over, I still have some to spare for myself. I make my own meals and save money on other expenses too. Less is more. If I get clothing, however many pieces I purchase, I give that many pieces of old clothing away. I don't hoard or clutter which a lot of higher income lives do. They spend beyond their means and are greedy.

This was needed. I have seen so many who just splurge thier money bcoz they have a lot to spend, and don't want to save bcoz they have no kids, don't want a house and don't want liability. Agreed its a way of life, but the way they waste... It saddens.
