BMW Hidden menu - Water temperature - E90 E91 E92 E93

Here is tutorial on how to check and monitor BMW coolant (water) temperature on board screen.

I've done this tutorial on my E92 320i. But it will also work on many other models like E90 / E91 / E93 even some E60 / E61 and others.

The same procedure works on other BMWs too. However, the number you need to unlock the menus is the sum of the last FIVE numbers, not all six. It works out for you because you have a zero at the beginning, but it will not work if that number is different from zero.

So, sum the trailing FIVE numbers, and it will work.

I like bmw but this hidden shit menu is realy a fail. Why do they make it so hard to reach? Why not just have it togheter with the normal menu....

Idiots at BMW. Just put the damn meter in it! Even my dads vw sharan has a coolant temperature meter AND an oil temperature meter... I like BMW but this is a big FAIL!

BMWs are not for all they very different, they have many "Cons" but the "Pros" are outstanding. So if you cry alot dont get into one, and have money for maintenance or turn your own wrenches like me. I'll see you in my rear view getting smaller.

My last 4 digits are 1960 so it’s 16 but it’s not the correct code because option 7 does not show temperature

By the time you've completed all that the temp has cooled! Why didn't they just use a gauge ffs?

Crazy thing it’s displayed in celsius even though the car will tell you outside temperature in fahrenheit

Takes that long the bloody coolant is cold by the time it comes up on the display. Why couldn’t BMW have kept a temp gauge in place of that useless economy gauge that nobody looks at.🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Typical German control! I own a e90 and the Germans use bio-degradable O-rings and gaskets so they don’t last long. Don’t install gauges for water temp, oil pressure and volt gauge.
