In this video, you can paint with me as I walk you through every stage, starting from laying down those initial shadows with burnt umber to adding vibrant colours that breathe life into the composition. We'll cover blocking in, oiling out, and what to do when you need to alter a reference image to paint a memory instead of photograph. 🎨Full colour palette of paint used: burnt umber, titanium white, ultramarine blue, phthalo blue, quinacridone red, cadmium orange, cadmium yellow medium, cadmium red medium, and sap green.
🖌️Canvas tone colour: quinacridone nickel azo gold acrylic paint by Golden mixed with Liquitex Professional gesso, applied to the canvas and sanded down (x3) for a silky smooth surface.
