Butterfly at the end having image of Betty adorable smile, and after blowing Simon, GOLDBETTY transformed, which looks pretty much like the energy of the blue comet.
I think she stayed with GOLB not because couldn't do anything about it, but because was waiting till Simon try put crown again, or try to find her either way, knowing how obessed he is.
And after she showed him, that his life matters, and he decided to move on without using crown again, without trying to bring everything back, she finally could move on too, with him.
I believe Betty reincarnated, just like Fnin and Jake did hundreds times, and maybe one day, after some reincarnations for both Simon and Betty, they can meet again.
Since there was different commets, i believe that a lot of cosmic beings/entities can just decide to move one and reincarnate, and GOLB is probably strongest being ever, so just starting new life after merging with Betty, shouldn't be too hard. Im only wonders, if Betty did merged with GOLB completely, and she's only one who stays at the end, or GOLB keep existing without her, in his old body? Or even more, reincarnated as well, so they both started new existence, separately ?

I still want to know wtf Golb does. What role does he fulfill? I feel like a series exploring the Lich would be great. Why he exists to serve Golb. And a perfect character to follow for that is Sweet P. Perhaps exploring his dreams, the memories of the Lich within him. Cosmic Owl could play a role idk.

0:41- It is sad that the Winter Kingdom melted after all, the inhabitants were innocent. At least the Candy Kingdom seems repaired and on the mend. Also, is that butterfly linked to Betty?

The way she grabbed Simon was so powerful, it rattled the void around them! Yet, it was the absolute limit of how gentle golb can be.

Side note did anyone else notice that they sort of canonized jakes scrapped storyboard death in this scene. As simon is transported to a world that seems to be made of jake. The scrapped idea being that upon jakes death he began to continuously expand and the only way to stop it from happening was to wedge him in the giant crater in the earth filling it and making the world whole again.
