I'm glad this series acknowledge that Sam still exist. She is one of the core members of what made series so good. And without her, it lacks a certain punchline, both literally and figuratively

The storyline of the reboot without Sam also tells alot about reality. We all have that one friend in our lifetime that got a new life and moved on. And all we can do is to just accept and support them on the new chapter of their lives. That is why it is always important to cherish every moment with your family and friends, because we can never tell until when we will be able to spend time with them.

I felt bad for the actor though, at least she’s finally doing what she truly believes it’s her. She finally explains and expressed herself in her book. Even though everyone misses her.❤

It was a bummer that Sam wasn’t a part of the revival, but I do understand and respect Jennette’s decisions cause she needs to focus on what makes her happy now and know that even though she is missed on the show, Sam will always be remembered for her iconic moments on the show no matter what.

This show was the best next to Drake and Josh omg I can't believe they they revived this with a whole fresh modern look and the characters all being grown up...time flies and I still miss Sam

After hearing what Jennette McCurdy went thru behind the scenes, I don’t blame her 4 not returning. I’m also glad that every1 in the reboot respects that, & still acknowledges her character cuz she was part of the family.

I kind of see this as leaving the door open for Jennette McCurdy if she wants to reprise her role as Sam again. although, I understand if she doesn't want to return.

And unlike the Disney Show Bunk'd (Jessie Spinoff), at least the ICarly revival has a way better explanation about why old characters like Sam and Gibby aren't back while in Bunk'd Season 3-6, they never mention Xander, Jorge, Tiffany, and Griff for unknown reasons. Plus, ICarly revival somewhat does a better job at bringing back old characters to show like Lewbert and Guppy. Bunk'd did do the same thing for seasons 4 and 5 like bringing Emma and Hazel back, but that didn't make it better for me because I was expecting more old characters like Xander and them but nope, they didn't. This just shows you that the Icarly writers are at least trying to be faithful to fans and the original series while Disney with Bunk'd just do a bad job with the other seasons. Also, if you watch Bunk'd, then watch the first two seasons, they're the best.

I’m going to miss Sam, and I’m not going to lie, I honestly can’t bring myself to watch the reboot. iCarly without Sam just feels incomplete to me.

That being said, I completely understand why Jennett McCurdy didn’t return, and while I was admittedly disappointed to hear that she quit acting, as I would’ve loved to see her play more characters, I 100% support her decisions, especially after learning about her difficult childhood. No wonder she hated acting. 😢
