Their dad who’s name is Steven Shay by the way, is a United States Air Force officer on a submarine and is often mentioned, but is only ever actually seen during the series finale episode iGoodbye but they never really mentioned their mum! Spencer was always the best example of a parent figure to Carly and filled what ever roll he needed to to be the best he could be while also still living his own life following his own dreams!
