I look forward to driving mine every day. It’s a really fun car to drive! 10k mikes since July. The sharp handling is very unusual for a crossover. Steering has a nice heft and no dead zone on center. I’ve taken it around some really fast corners getting on on-ramps to the highway and it’s always a blast. Interior is elegant and Terracotta seats are beautiful. It really does rival the likes of Lexus, just a little more simple is all. Something I was having a hard time with in other cars on test drives was the resting placement of my right knee. It always dig into the dash or console. For instance, I can barely stand to drive my wife’s ‘20 forester. The cx50’s console is the perfect height and I’m always comfortable.

I’ll take a CX-5 Turbo Signature over a comparable CX-50. It’s a more refined car.

Bonus, does not have a CVT transmission but specs recommend premium fuel. Engine deactivation is standard but I read it can be turned off

I got my CX-50 in August after trading my Mercedes GLC and it’s been great! The steering and handling really is on par with BMW. The quality inside is good and it has all the features you could need in the upper trim like I got. The only thing I don’t like is the black plastic cladding. I backed into a fence at a super low speed and it just lightly scuffed the bumper but since it’s textured black plastic there’s nothing I can do except replace the bumper, which is annoying. Other than that it’s such a great car, love the size and the minimal interior with luxury touches. No regrets going from a luxury SUV to my Mazda.

THIS! ... why I got this over a Suburu Forester or Outback. The suburu had cheap plastic, meh CVT transmission, and a shitty sounding speakers even on the high end trims. Mazda was far superior in every way

As far as pricing is concerned, this is sorta into a luxury segment but also sorta affordable and practical, too!

Mazdas are luxury cars.. We got used to Volvo’s new image now it’s time to understand Mazda’s new image

one of the best cars right now. Only issues are that its a bit too thirsty compared to its competitors and for the power it gives you and I wish the suspension could be adjusted because it turns amazingly but can be a bit rigid at times

It got a torsion beam suspension like the mazda 3.
Just get the cx5 will multilink suspension.

not just the color it's when you're sitting in the seat and you can actually see the hood and the raised portion of it

These specs almost mirror the new Sante Fe, which I recently purchased. The differences is that Mazda driving is legit, but the Sante Fe interior is far better, and way more room! And same MPG. I've always loved the looks of Mazdas but the interiors always look boring/lacking and just too small.

I’ve owned 7 Mazdas and we’re on Mazda3 #4 !
And The Wife and I LOVE our 2023 Mazda3 GT AWD 2.5 Ltr., TWIN-Scroll-TURBO!! You just can’t be behind the wheel of those renowned Mazda dynamics, with a TWIN-Scroll-TURBO with the KILLER 12-Speaker BOSE System goin’ (I know, I know, …KILLER and BOSE in the SAME sentence !?!?! …YEAH !! …It’s THAT Balanced and Loud and CLEAN Sounding ! ) with the roof open, and have a smile on your face. My wife agrees… (and she’s a woman, …who’s picky, …and who just said “can we order it in Red ?!?!” That’s all. )
She came home from work one night and said “that car’s So Quick, It Scared Me. But in a GOOD WAY!” Lolol
And if drivin’ A Mazda like That, doesn’t put a smile on your face, …check Your Pulse !
