How to use dynamic variables in Issue Templates for Jira Cloud

You will learn how to define and use dynamic variables in order to further customize your template with user provided values.

Dynamic variables are placeholders which you can define in your primary template in text fields (e.g. summary, description). Right before issue is created from a template, dynamic variables are collected from the primary template and additional form is displayed.

It is possible to use variables defined in primary template also in children and linked issue.
