The is by far the best AND easiest way to hot start a Cirrus. No better place to put it to the test than Death Valley, CA. 111 Degrees on the ground and an oil temp of 225. Could you start yours?

Wow worked like a charm today every time!!! Thank u. Went with the mountain flying class, had to shut down and start up again in 15 minutes 4 times today. Started on first try and with ease using this technique. Thank u👍🙏🙏

Worked well in my turbo today, helps to have a starter adapter and starter in good working order too :)

The RPMs surged for a few minutes while it worked the vapor out (after start) but it started about as fast as it did in your video, which was terrific - minimal hit to the battery.

On my SR22 NA (G2, 2006) this would not work. I let the boost pump run for 20 seconds, pull the mixture and with the boost pump on I crank the engine while advancing the mixture. Starts every time, no matter how hot.

Mark, what procedure do you use when ATC keeps you too high and vectoring you to the final approach course to intercept the glideslope from above on a g1000? Other than manually bugging the altitude and using vertical speed to get to a stabilized approach prior to the final approach fix.

If these old fashioned airplane engines had electronic ignition they would start as simple as any Toyota, Volkswagen or whatsoever...
