If they start asking you for money whether through gift cards or sending the money to someone directly before meeting in person, it's always going to be a scam no matter what.

The first scam indicator is a man you first meet talking to you for hours. Men don’t begin relationships like that.

Ladies, c’mon. There is a difference in being on a romance site & being so desperate you will “pay” in order to get a man. Sending someone money you have never met is flat out desperation.🤷🏽‍♂️

Ladies, they'll even use these tactics if you've met them in person. I had a Nigerian man share a sob story that involved him needing money. A man asking me for money is a red flag and I'm out immediately! Do not call me ever again... instead get your life together.

That book seriously looks like something you'd find in a comedy movie.

How can I convince my mom this is happening to her. I literally showed her the proof using social catfish and when he sent voice messages you can clearly hear the Nigerian accent and that it’s not a US physician from North Carolina. 🤦‍♀️

They tried with me to, but he told me I asking to much questions 😂 let him go until he asked gift cards, I told him I don’t have disposable income 😂

I'm over 40 and I would NEVER date a guy like that!! 👎 Even if he was the last man on earth he wouldn't get a cent from me or anything else.

I met my romance scammer in person. He even watched a movie with my dad in our house. I wired money for 8 months. He took a plane to the other side of the country and it was emergency after emergency. 👿💰Turns out, this guy has a long criminal record. I never looked it up until years after I was beyond broke filing for bankruptcy.

Anyone asks me for money, it's a deal breaker. I'll give all the emotional support you need. I'll stand by you. I'll be there for my partner.
But I don't give money. It's a huge turn off to me.

It's not just white women being targeted. That book's title is inaccurate; they care more about the color of your money not the color of your skin. And the book had no author listed. That's so suspicious to me, cuz who is making money off this book? let's find THAT person! meanwhile I'm glad Chris finally grew a conscience.

It is not only women who are scammed in romance scamming. Men are also being scammed. Most of these scammers are from West Africa, either Nigeria or Ghana. Become technology wise and identify the red flags.
