The bear name thing is so cool, I love how that type of superstition is consistent across cultures. In Africa after dark, you never say snake or leopard, due to that same fear that they can hear you and will track you down ("string" and "spotted cloth" are the replacement words which I find amusing)

Patronuses aren't born of being good, they're born of good memories. That's why Umbridge could make one: she's evil, but that doesn't mean she hasn't got good memories. That's also why I don't think Voldy had a patronus at all. He just didn't have any good memories.

What I’m thinking about is: For a Patronus, you must conjure a happy memory, but wouldn’t Voldemort be able to make a Patronus, because it his eyes, death and pain is a happy memory, like for example, killing Lily and James, torturing Harry in GoF, etc. I feel like he would be able to make a Patronus with those “happy” memories??
