Really love your talks with fellow indie devs. They're so humble and sincere without pretentious marketing stuff.

I have REALLY been appreciating your content. This is the 2nd time i have started making a game, and quite honestly, its been a rough couple months so far getting everything started, but these are REALLY helping me stay motivated, and think outside the box. Thank you so much!

thomas makes a good point, about indies who make a game, and just go for it for yrs before thinking do people like it. I have just done this myself (over and over since 90s), i wasted years on something that literally no one wanted or asked for. its difficult to find an audience to actually find out though, EVEN friends dont want to play your games, no matter how good they are lol. even if i i put my game for free on steam now i bet i wouldnt get any downloads at all. I know its a good game i love playing it, those who get into it love it too.. i think appearance maybe be the issue, if it doesnt look amazing ppl dont bother.

Game development is so hard but despite that I just love the process. just seeing my self bringing my imagination to life is a fulfillment and a dream come through for me am just so glad I took up the courage to state learning games using Unreal and at least I can now finish a game. I even made and finished my first ever game and released it on Google playstore, just that no one knows about me or the game but am so glad because I know one day my game will be seen too ❤.
Thanks so much Thomas for all the advice and courage am so happy

As a 26 year old who has prioritized film/ videography I wanted to make a game deep down, but not for the money I’ve witnessed some games reach success directly because their community and building the game up instead of going “ALL IN” like you guys said.

Appreciate both of you guys feedback bros ✊🏽 One Day One Day

We've been going the wrong route a few years back but this year we have sat down and looked at a similar approach. Really looking forward to it this year. Thanks for sensible, amazing content on this channel consistently.

This is VERY similar to what Kristine K. Rusch (and her husband, but I'm way more familiar with her work) says about writing. It has allowed her to thrive were many have vanished.

FYI That 7 people for supergiant should be right. Everything I've ever heard is by the end of Bastion they had a 7 person core team though they started smaller before some like Jen Zee joined after they were into the process

Great conversation and advice! I’ve made a couple prototypes on my own, and I’ll be keeping this in mind going forward. I took a break from developing after the Unity fiasco but I’m getting back into it.

I recommend working on your game instead of watching youtube videos about making a game.

Hi I don't really know what to look for when buying a laptop.
Can anyone tell me what specs I should look for when starting out?

Your next guest should be Timothy Cain, the guy who made the original Fallout

The problem is that you can always go smaller and smaller

My first problem is I need to finish school and FINALLY buy a Pc, my second problem is I’m trying to learn the limits of Roblox (countering people farming in solo lobbies) but still making it fun to GRIND $ 👀 I want to make a PVP game and want to prevent people using exploits like rejoining lobbies to avoid cooldowns of robberies etc 👀👀👀

I mean, speaking of super giant

Bastion will still forever be one of my favorite games of all time, it may not be hades in scope, but i think they hit it out of a park in their first get-go
