If your personality is “I like bacon” you shouldn’t be disappointed that people told you to.

So eating bacon can increase my chance of death in the long run? A tasty snack and a shorter lifespan? That’s a win-win!

That was actually the least surprising episode I've seen. I mean, it's super unhealthy and people only eat it because tons of marketing, that goes for half fast food products.

I couldn't imagine eating bacon or hot dogs every day. Jeez. Also Lou has a criminally small amount of lines

Didn't the low-fat craze in the 80s and 90s increase the amount of sugar that people consumed?

But what was the percent of getting cancer before eating the processed meat? I’ve watched enough Adam Ruins Everything to know that if a statistic says “raised by 20%” it could just mean 0.1% to 0.12%

EDIT: WTF WHY DOES THIS HAVE SO MANY LIKES

emmabrook

"20% increase in chance of cancer" is a useless statistic unless you know you're normal risk of cancer. If you're normal risk of cancer is 1% then a 20% increase brings your risk to 1.2%.

Bring it on.

So, you're telling me that processed food is bad for your health and marketing does exactly what it's supposed to do? *mind blown*
